How to prepare and submit the power of attorney or other proof of authorization for IPR enforcement?
To prepare and submit this document, there would be two options for your reference:
Option 1: Please fill in all the required information of the IPR information under IPR Submission section. A template Power of Attorney will then be automatically generated if the complainant is inconsistent with the rights holder. You may download and print out the Power of Attorney, have the Power of Attorney affixed with the official seal of or signed by the rights holder, and then submit a digital photo of the sealed or signed Power of Attorney to IPP Platform.
Option 2: If the complainant or the rights holder has their own template of Power of Attorney, you may also directly use the POA prepared and issued by the rights holder. Please ensure that the right to enforce IPRs should be explicitly authorized by the rights holder in the POA. Please affix the official seal (entities rights holders) on or sign (individual rights holders) the POA with the signatory’s title, and submit a digital photo of the sealed or signed POA.
Note: For POA issued by individual rights holders, please note that the rights holder’s handwritten signature and his/her job title are required on the POA.
