It refers to the scenario where a specific product type or model exists, but the listed product is believed to be a counterfeit based on the differences between a genuine product and the listed one from the product description and images.
How to compare genuine and counterfeit products?
If there are differences between a genuine product and the listed one from the product description and images, please compare the products from the same angle via their color, size, material, logos, etc. Also, a written description to demonstrate the differences is recommended (see sample comparison document below).
A product is suspected to be a counterfeit, but we does not find my registered trademark used on the product listing. In such case, can I file complaints based on “Counterfeit Features”?
To facilitate our processing of your complaints, specific evidence of counterfeiting is required. If a product is suspected to be a counterfeit, but there is no trademark on the product listing, we are unable to determine that products bearing your trademark are sold or offered for sale. If there is any evidence showing that the seller admits or confirms in the chat with you that the rights holder’s trademark is in fact used on the product, you can file complaints based on “Counterfeit Features” by providing the chatting records (including the product ID) and a comparison of the counterfeit and your genuine product.
Note: If a product is suspected to be a counterfeit, and it is perceivable from the product listing that a trademark is used on the product but is deliberately concealed or blurred, you may file complaints based on the reason “Concealing Trademark”. In support of your complaint, please provide a comparison of the suspected counterfeit and your genuine product of the same type of model.
